The After-School Tutoring Program represents a signature achievement for BWPIF. The effectiveness of the tutoring program is enhanced by the strong mentoring relationships that form between the tutors and students. In addition to the concentration on subject matter proficiency, the on-on-one mentoring provides a role model for the social development of the students. Our team of volunteer tutors is comprised of current and retired educators, business professionals, high school and college students.

Currently, tutoring sessions are directly correlated to the curricula and homework being utilized by the school district. Tutoring is provided at no cost to the student.

Tutoring is available for math, language arts, social studies and science. Sessions are one hour for each subject

All tutoring is Monday – Thursday (3:00 pm – 6:00 pm) at the Montclair Public Library in the Children’s area on the third floor.

BWPIF After-School Tutoring Program runs mid-September through early June and follows the Montclair School District academic calendar for vacation days

Please contact Vicki Paulson, Director - info@bwpif.org if you are able to volunteer!
